LEISURE AREAS – NIGHTLIFE
Valencia is a city with an appealing, bustling night-life, as the superb climate that the city enjoys is an invitation to stay outdoors in the street-cafes and bars, allowing locals and visitors alike to feel quoite at home in its streets.
The area of Barrio del Carmen, located in the old city centre, Catedral and Calle Caballeros, is the place for a modern clientele where we find a different, bohemian atmosphere, full of coffee-bars and street-cafes and many houses have been converted into pubs and cafes.
In the area around Plaza de Cánovas, you can find a rather more select atmosphere, with highly-recommendable street-cafes.
Near the Mestalla Stadium are Avenida Blasco Ibáñez and Avenida de Aragon, with a large number of pubs, many of them with Latin music.
The area around Calle Juan Lloréns is probably the busiest, with numerous bars and pubs, some featuring the latest Caribbean rhythms.
Plaza Xúquer, next to the university area, is a place where young people meet up to start out the night.
Lastly, the offer extends to the establishments set up along Avenida Neptuno, with superb views of the sea, where visitors will find a huge variety of styles.
The most popular discos are in the areas of Viveros, Blasco Ibáñez, Primado Reig towards Alboraya, continuing to the ones along the coastal roads, mainly in the Saler area.
